Messageboards Tutorial

Messageboards essentially work in the same way as a newsgroup, but without the use of a news server. These messageboards are scattered about all over the Internet covering a variety of different topics. These will all be situated on the Internet so there is no need for a specialist piece of software to be installed.

Messages are 'posted' by the user either in reply to an existing message (replying to a 'thread') or to start a new 'topic'. Most bulletin boards contain an FAQ ('Frequently Asked Questions'), and it will be an advantage to the user if he/she reads this document first - this often contains answers to questions that are often asked.

Virtual Social Work has it's own message board where you can get involved in various social work topics. View this by clicking here.
